I’ve been trying to lose weight for a long time, but I was never ready to give up my favorite foods. Diets based on fasting are definitely not for me. Also, not for me diets where you need to eat certain foods. I was not interested in a vegetarian or raw food diet.
I have certain taste preferences and I would not want to betray them. For example, I love potatoes, but many bloggers and nutritionists say that it contains starch and there are many elements that harm the figure and prevent weight loss.
It was a challenge for me, so I decided to create my own potato recipes. So far I have managed to cook 5 diet foods that have a good effect on the body. If you like potatoes as much as I do, save yourself my list, which I named: Lose 10 lbs in a month meal plan:
- Baked potatoes with cottage cheese and cherry tomatoes:
For two servings you will need 2 large potatoes, 200 g of soft curd 9%, 2 cloves of garlic, a small bunch of dill, 5-6 cherry tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.
Rinse and dry the potatoes, pour them with olive oil. Make a deep cruciform incision on top. Wrap the vegetable in foil and place it in a frying pan heated to 220 degrees for 40-50 minutes. While the potatoes are baking, I am preparing the filling. Finely cut all the ingredients and mix with the curd until smooth. Next, take out the potatoes and turn it around so that a deep hole is formed in the center. Place the curd and leave in the oven for another 10 minutes.
- Potato pie without flour:
You need 400 g of potatoes, 1 white onion, 1 protein, 100-150 g of slightly salted salmon, dill, olive oil, and salt. I heat the oven to 210 degrees. I grate potatoes and onions on a coarse grater and squeeze so that the mixture is dry, without juice. Add finely chopped dill, salt, pepper, and protein. Stir and drain the liquid again. I spread half the potato mixture into a baking dish. I previously poured the baking dish with olive oil. I spread slices of fish and the rest of the potatoes on top. Bake for 30-40 minutes.
- broccoli puree and potato:
This is the simplest recipe, the preparation of which takes no more than an hour. Bake potatoes in peel and foil following the example of previous recipes. Make mashed broccoli. When serving, I add nuts and mixtures of aromatic herbs: thyme, rosemary, garlic, thyme).
- Omelet in potato bowls:
I often eat this dish for breakfast. Choose a large potato and cook it in the oven. From the hot product, cut off the top and spoon out the pulp. Mix: egg, yogurt, grated cheese, and green onions. Start with the mixture of potatoes on top, add more cheese and leave in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
- Pink salmon potato patties:
This is a very useful alternative to conventional meatballs. The dish is very light and tasty. Boil 2 potatoes and mash it, add fish, finely chopped garlic, mustard, lemon juice, and spices. Stir and add 1 egg there. Form the cutlets and steam them.
Also, I recommend creating recipes on your own to suit your taste. Do not be afraid of what they say about potatoes. When combined with the right ingredients, you will not only lose weight but also increase your beauty. The vegetable contains vitamins of group C, B, phosphorus and digestible protein.
Now I want to come up with recipes based on other products that prohibit eating when losing weight. I was able to lose more than 10 pounds per month easily and I want to further destroy the myths about food.
