I don’t know how long the diet appeared and how many people have already helped lose weight. I can only judge from my own experience, and this is a uniquely effective diet, with its own rules and ideology.
I wanted to lose weight, which prevented me from living the way I want. One fine day, I realized that I want to wear beautiful swimwear on the beach, I want to feel light in my body, choose feminine dresses, and so on. I know that there is nothing unreal in this world. Therefore, my first goal was to lose 30 pounds in 10 days.
Authors and proponents of the diet claim that following the human diet of the Paleolithic era justifies evolution itself. The ideology of the diet is that people in that era did not suffer from excess weight and had an excellent physique, but all because of proper nutrition.
This implies the rejection of processed foods, sugar and cereals, as well as most dairy products. If you remove all the beautiful words spoken by marketers and nutritionists, this is the usual low-carb diet that encourages the use of fresh foods, in particular, vegetables. Some studies show that using such a diet can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes.
The disadvantages of paleo-diet which I found during the application
The main disadvantage for me was the periodic malaise associated with the lack of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Sometimes I felt very tired even if I had a prolonged, quality sleep, headache, and digestive upset.
I wanted to combine a diet with exercise, but it was not always easy, and not always possible. I simply did not have enough energy for treadmills and exercise machines. Later, I got used to my new lifestyle and the side effects were gone.
Man is a creature that adapts to the conditions in which it arrives. It seems to me that I am so used to chemical additives in food and heat treatment that it was difficult for my body to just take and change everything.
What to eat observing a paleo diet? Did I manage to lose 30 pounds in 10 days?
The basis of the menu is animal protein, the meat of any type, and in almost unlimited quantities. Whatever veterinarians claim, it is animals, not plant proteins, that accelerate metabolism, which means weight loss.
It is also foolish to deny that protein is more satisfying than fats and carbohydrates. Some fans of this diet eat raw meat! I have not practiced such a method, and they cannot advise you to do this. My diet includes:
- Fish and seafood;
- Eggs (but not more than two yolks per day);
- Non-roasted nuts and seeds;
- Berries, fruits, and vegetables (without starch and not canned);
- Vegetable oils: olive, linseed, coconut, avocado, walnut, and macadamia nut oil).
If I want something sweet, I confine myself to regular honey. Diet means the complete exclusion of sweets from the diet: cakes, soda, sugar in tea, etc.
No matter how wonderful this diet is, if you follow it without harming your body, you will not be able to lose 30 pounds in 10 days. I was able to lose 5 pounds and even proud of this result.

Erwan le Corre is a Frenchman who claims to be the healthiest person on Earth. It was he who invented the combination of sports with the Paleo diet. He offers all followers to behave like cavemen, namely: run barefoot and crawl on all fours over rough terrain, swim in the river, carry heavy stones, climb trees.
But we are not cavemen, and he understands this too, so he created a special training room. I think if you can’t find the same room, you can use different alternatives. I started to master the climbing wall, and since I still have excess weight, it’s difficult for me to do this, but this is an additional motivation for me and I am going to combine Paleo diet and sport.
