A healthy choice, or I why I’ve decided to slim down

To be honest, I’ve always considered myself to be of an average built. Thoughts like “Can I lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks” have never crossed my mind until I realized that my size started fluctuating up and down with no considerable improvement. Then, faddy diets came in, and it became a trend. I’ve tried everything, from fat-free dairy products to white eggs. Apparently, I’ve lost some weight, but it did not count as healthy. This was the sort of a turning point where I stopped to ask myself how much weight to lose in a week. One of my friends shared a diet that stated you only need to stock with processed food to be slim. This was never the plan. I felt worse by a minute, bombarded with questions, hesitations, and doubts.

With all the eating plans on the market, I could not decide whether this whole “can I lose 5 pounds in two weeks” idea was ever going to work. There were times when I did not feel like I could calculate the points on the nutrition or figure out how much weight to lose in a week. Pre-prepared food and processed items were taking a toll. I was in a bad place, with my health deteriorating and my depressed state increasing. What actually helped me bring back the colors was thinking healthy instead of eating junk stuff in hopes it’s low in calories. According to my nutritionist, the scheme was never going to work until I shifted my priorities. It may seem like I’m stating the obvious, but it’s really a game-changer. Do not try to outsmart your body by making food replacements. Free up the liver and go for the detox plan that will allow you to forget about the rapid Google search that starts with “can I lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks”. In addition to being focused on metabolism, I managed to speed up the process by doing my research. When I found out that I was gluten-intolerant and was supposed to be having smoothies instead of brownies, it was like pulling the rug from under one’s feet. In my head, I’ve already devised a plan on how much weight to lose in a week. As a housewife, I could do so much better with my time. The first step was starting a 6-month fruit diet. Self-hate was no longer on my list. Instead, I moved slowly towards the goal. By giving up on fries that I absolutely adored, I allowed the right foods to come into my regimen. The truth is, I also stopped tearing myself apart by feverishly asking my family, “Can I lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks?” They were so supportive I did not have a choice other than to proceed. By the end of the month, I felt like a new person.

My progress in weight loss

The trick is to stay on the same eating plan for the rest of the term. Do not panic if you feel like you are going slowly. Personally, I was more concerned about my health state rather than how much weight to lose in a week. I had smoothies daily. They are a delight: raspberry, blueberry, banana. Also, I’ve tried to stay away from gluten-containing products and got out my blender daily. If you are the one wondering “Can I lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks”, this is going to be helpful. By adding a different taste to my daily ration, I’ve learned how to control the urge for junk food and began loving myself for who I am. I did not have equipment for making my smoothies super professional. My tip for everyone out there is watching the videos on how to make your drinks taste amazing. I’ve kept the menu simple, yet it definitely triggered the transformation and made me think of how much weight I can actually lose in a week.
