I learned about one of the most powerful and radical diets, which is based on the use of a single product. There are several variations of nutrition, you just need to choose the one that you like best. The first option: the diet lasts 14 days of which 7 days you eat only one product, constantly; the next 7 days, another product, but also only one.
The second version of the diet: for 14 days every day to change the product for something new, but during the day you can only eat it. The second option suited me better. It is more complicated because I had to come up with every day what kind of product I would choose for tomorrow. After two weeks, I realized that it would be much easier to prescribe a 2-week eating plan to lose 10 pounds. Ten pounds is exactly the weight that the mono-diet followers promise to lose.
If you are trying to lose weight by consuming one product per day, be aware that there are many disadvantages to this method. For example, in a few days, your even the most delicious and beloved yogurt you may hate, and this will happen with any product that you choose.
During the week I chose 7 foods for myself and ate them in turn: rice porridge, stewed cabbage, oatmeal, kefir, apples, bananas, redfish. As you noticed, on the last day of the week I decided to have a holiday and ate a more satisfying product than on previous days.
The next week, my diet included: lactose-free milk with healthy snacks (yes, two products in one dish can be combined), nuts, avocados, toast with hummus, cucumbers and tomatoes, boiled chicken.
Pros cons of monodiet
I talked about a 2-week meal plan for losing 10 pounds, which I was able to successfully lose. But still, could it be so easy to do this? And what does medicine say about this? From the point of view of nutritionists, mono-diet has no scientific justification.
It is effective simply because of the basic principle of losing weight – if you consume fewer calories than you spend, then the weight will decrease. In addition, mono-diet, in principle, does not imply any saturation, perhaps this is the secret of rapid weight loss. Be that as it may, it is worth noting that it is effective. But also dangerous.
If you have the opportunity to adhere to such a schedule for not 14 days, but 5-7, you will definitely protect yourself from health damage. It is important to take vitamins, as your body will definitely not miss trace elements, which can provoke vitamin deficiency.
The advantages of mono-diets:
- Effective;
- It takes a short period of time;
- You choose your own menu.
Minuses:
- It is forbidden to people with chronic diseases;
- Products that you choose quickly bother you;
- It is worth adding vitamins to the diet so that you provoke vitamin deficiency.
This diet was used by many of my friends and in practice, I can say that none of them had any side effects, because of which they should stop eating one product. But still, I believe that you should not neglect the advice of doctors, as well as listen more to your body.
Which foods are better not to eat for several days in a row
If you prefer the first diet option that I described earlier, be prepared for many negative factors. For example, if you eat only apples for several days in a row, it can be fraught with a blow to the nervous system. If you have to think a lot at work, it will affect your productivity. Also, most likely you will feel increased irritability.
If you eat oatmeal for several days, your body will get stress due to a lack of iron in the body. The result of such a diet can be the rapid development of anemia. The only solution to this problem may be the right choice of oatmeal, which will be additionally enriched with vitamins and minerals. If you eat rice porridge for a long time, this can lead to the formation of stones and gall bladder.
Also, the lack of animal proteins in rice mono-diet leads to a noticeable decrease in hemoglobin in the blood. Many fans of sour-milk products choose cottage cheese as the single and most commonly used product. But absorbing cottage cheese in large quantities, you risk exposing the stomach and kidneys to a real protein attack.
Excess protein, which the stomach does not have time to digest, enters the kidneys and intestines, where there are much fewer enzymes for its breakdown. In the intestine, the protein that is not properly digested begins to rot and ferment, thereby provoking various kinds of problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
Feel the balance and your body, then any diet will be given to you easily, and the desired result is achieved.
